Laurie's Walk for Animals Fundraising
Every since I was little, helping animals have always been my passion. In my 7+ years at AHS, I've had the opportunity to help animals and people in a lot of different ways, and in 2016 I was lucky enough to accept a new role where I could do even more.
This video is a quick glimpse into my new program -- you can even see me in it! In my new role, I focus on working with other organizations so that we can partner together to help reduce unnecessary euthansia. It's incredibly rewarding to see animals that would otherwise be considered for euthanasia to be placed into happy and loving homes here in the Twin Cities. And not only our placement rate at AHS nearing 98%, but now we're also able to help animals nationwide as well -- as the ones right here in our backyard.
I set an ambitious fundraising goal each year because this is something I really believe in -- it takes hours each day for weeks on end raising money to help make it happen, all on top of my "day" job. Please consider a donation to the Walk for Animals so that together, we can not only continue this great work, but do even more, together.
