 Rescue dogs aren't broken,

They've simply experienced more life than other dogs.

If they were human, we would call them wise.

They would be the ones with tales to tell and stories to write.

The ones dealt a bad hand who responded with courage.

Do not pity a shelter dog.

Adopt one.

And be proud to have their greatness by your side. 

 

You all know why I walk--and for those of you who don't--I have a crazy passion for animals.  I love animals so much.  I wish I could save them all.  Your love and support once a year enables me to strive towards my mission.  Since we've officially run out of room at the Nelson animal shelter--according to my mother--my goal is to raise $2000 to help save the lives of the animals in our community.  With your support, I know this is possible.  

For the unspoken voices, I walk.
