There's Nothing Pedestrian About Walking for A Great Cause!

Let’s just say working and living with the circus the past year has been quite the adventure. As most of you probably know by now, on April 14th I was injured in a work accident. I wish I could say it was something cool like a run in with a tiger or an elephant. All jokes aside, half my right thumb had to be amputated as a result of the severe damage. I am home now and unable to work, so I have been finding other ways to pass my days. This May 3rd the MN Humane Society is holding its 34th annual Walk for Animals. I have decided to do my best to raise donations in such a short time and here is where you all come in. Their goal this year is $400,000 so any amount will help. My personal goal is to raise $1000. Pledge if you can. Better yet- show your support and walk with my mom and me this May 3rd. We have a lot of dogs in our family and can use the extra hands! Thanks for your support.

Where Does Your Money Go?

$1000: Feeds and cares for an injured horse siezed from an abusive situation for 6 weeks
$750: Helps a dog or cat in need of special surgery or recovery care
$500: Provides resources to take in dogs from overcrowded humane organizations in MN and through the Midwest
$300: Provides a scholarship for a needy student to attend one of their week long summer camps
$250: Provides x-rays for 2 injured animals
$100: Pays for a puppy or kitten to be spayed or neutered
$50: Pay for full vaccinations for 2 homeless cats

Where: There are 2 locations this year- Saint Paul (~3 miles) and Golden Valley (~5 miles).

When: Saturday, May 3
Regestration is from 8:30-10:30 A.M.
Walking starts at 10:30 A.M.
