As Animal Humane Society’s largest annual fundraiser, the Walk for Animals brings together more than 8,000 people and 3,000 dogs to wag, walk, and raise funds for homeless and neglected pets across Minnesota.
Every dollar raised for the Walk helps provide medical treatment, behavior programs, and nurturing care to the nearly 25,000 animals who come into our five Minnesota shelters each year.
You’re just a walk away from making a big difference. Here are five ways to participate in the Walk for Animals:
Option 1: Sign up to walk and raise funds as an individual
When you sign up as an individual, we make it easy for you to personalize your fundraising page, stay connected to family, friends and other supporters as well as stay on top of your donations!
Option 2: Participate as part of a team
The Walk for Animals is all about community. Bring yours together and raise funds for animals in need. Gather together five or more people and pool your talents together to compete for team trophies. It’s people power for the animals! Create a new team or join an existing team.
Option 3: Make a gift!
Can’t attend the Walk? You can still help us reach our $1 million goal. Show your support by making a gift to aid homeless and neglected animals.
Option 4: Volunteer to help at the Walk
Without our volunteers, we would never be able to achieve what we do year in and year out. Please consider volunteering at this year’s Walk for Animals.
Option 5: Attend the Walk without raising funds
Anyone is welcome to attend the Walk on May 2nd including your furry friends! You do not need to register for the Walk for Animals unless you plan on fundraising for the event.
We need to raise $600,000 online before the Walk to meet our $1 million goal.
