Bound for Home is Animal Humane Society’s multi-year initiative to improve the quality of life for more animals and to engage the community to help us. Our goal is to place all healthy and treatable animals in caring homes.
For the past two years, AHS has been engaged in a review of our operations and how we care for animals. After consulting with shelter medicine experts and our colleagues in animal welfare nationwide, we have made major changes in an effort to reduce animal homelessness and to reduce euthanasia.
Animal Humane Society has been serving people and animals for 130 years and with your support, we have done much to advance how our community treats companion animals. Still, the reality is that far more animals are surrendered to us than the community chooses to adopt. We are committed to changing this imbalance with the community's support.
Together we can take a giant leap for animals.
